If you cannot get to a polling booth on Election Day you can apply to vote by post.
To receive a postal vote you must lodge a correctly completed postal vote application to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) as soon as possible after the announcement of the election.
Step 2: Read application instructions and fill out the application for postal vote form.
Step 3: A witness must also complete and sign the application for postal vote form.
Step 4: Send in the application for postal vote form. The deadline for receipt of completed Postal vote application forms is 6:00 pm on the Thursday 22 November, 2007.

Posted forms must be received in the last mail clearance before 6:00 pm. If you choose to use email you must scan the completed, signed form.
Remember, when you recieve your postal vote, Vote 1 Anderson for Sydney.
Outside Australia
While outside Australia we suggest that you apply for a postal vote through an overseas polling place in the country you are in. If there is no overseas polling place in your country you can send your form back to the the state office of which you are enrolled.

AEC Divisional Offices will remain open until 6:00 pm to receive hand-delivered Postal vote application forms.
If your postal vote application form is received after the deadline the AEC will make reasonable efforts to contact you to advise you of this, and to provide advice on alternate means of voting.
