Locally, we're sharing in the benefits of a stronger economy:
- Helping prevent the relapse of young drug offenders when released from prison, with a $150,000 grant.
- Helping students at Crown Street Public School save water by installing water tanks, with a $32,000 grant - saving 556,330 litres of water per year.
- New computer equipment for Sydney Secondary College, Blackwattle Bay Campus, with a $59,000 grant.
- Improving water efficiency at St Mary's College, Sydney, by implementing a range of water saving initiatives in the school's washrooms, with a $27,000 grant - saving over 4,430,000 litres of water each year.
- New drama/performing arts equipment for Sydney Secondary College Balmain Campus, Rozelle, with a $26,400 grant.
- Improving water efficiency at Erskineville Public School by implementing a range of water saving initiatives, with an $18,000 grant.
- New library resources and related equipment for Newtown Public School, with a $20,000 grant.
- Helping University Sports Centres implement a range of water saving initiatives, with a $49,000 grant - saving 7,400,000 litres of water each year.
- New computer equipment for Glebe Public School, with a $39,000 grant.
- Keeping manufacturing industries strong in Sydney with over $114 million in grants funding to 77 local businesses.
